LOCTITE 248 is a medium strength anaerobic threadlocking material.
It comes in the form of a semi-solid wax-like material and is conveniently packaged in a self-priming applicator stick. As with liquid anaerobic products, this material develops its curing properties in the absence of air when confined between closely fitting metal surfaces.
It achieves consistent strength and can be used on a variety of metal substrates. It is particularly suitable for applications where a liquid product may be too fluid to remain on a piece or difficult to apply. It stores easily and allows direct contact with a screw-on attachment during application to ensure even coverage.
